Areas with a high proportion of adults in social classes A and B are central and west London, south east and south
central England, the south Midlands, Cheshire and parts of North Yorkshire. The area with by far the highest
proportion is the City of London with 61% of the adult population in the highest social class. Areas with the lowest
proportion include South Wales, Hull, Blackpool, Stoke-on-Trent and Great Yarmouth.
